Before we get into this, get a cup of tea if you can. We need to get into the proper R & R mindset.
Okay now let’s get into it. So we all know too well that stress is a constant companion for many women juggling careers, relationships, and personal growth.
The toll it takes on our minds, bodies, and spirit is too often underestimated, before it’s too late and we experience bouts of severe depression that we fall in and climb out of.
Reclaiming wellness isn’t about adding more to your to-do list; it’s about creating space to heal, restore balance, and reconnect with your inner self. As women, our strength lies not only in what we do but in how we nurture our well-being.
Prioritizing stress relief is more than self-care—it’s an act of empowerment that allows us to show up as our most authentic and resilient selves. So we never have to look back and say “I remember her”.
Relaxing Teas and Vitality Mocktails
Let’s talk about the importance of a Feminine Vitality Corner.
It’s an area where you can mix up a therapeutic drink using your dried herbs, honey, and soursoup droplets to ease into a slower mindset. It helps you unwind, breathe and feel joy in taking care of yourself with a relaxing hot drink or even a cold revitalizing refresher.
Create a Witchy Potions or Herbal Tea Corner to encourage yourself to relax and reflect.
Unlike traditional teas derived from the tea plant known as Camellia sinensis (such as black, green, or oolong tea), herbal teas are made from the leaves, flowers, fruits, seeds, or roots of different plants, each bringing its unique set of benefits.
I would recommend Lemongrass tea for the benefits of soothing digestive tract and bloating as well as relieving any anxiety from the day. It also is a natural diuretic and flushes toxins out of the body. Passionfruit tea is also great and has the calming effects for stress and anxiety, helps with sleep as well any cramping or muscle spasms.
You can also make vitamin and collagen infused mocktails!
How to Make a Magnesium Tart Cherry Relaxation Elixir
- Prepare the Magnesium Base: In a tall glass, mix the tart cherry juice with magnesium powder with a handheld frother. Stir until the magnesium powder is fully dissolved.
- Add Sparkling Water: Pour the sparkling water into the glass with the cherry-magnesium mixture. Gently stir to combine.
- Include Ice Cubes: Add ice cubes to chill the drink and enhance the refreshing experience.
- Garnish with Mint (Optional): For a touch of freshness, garnish your Sparkling Cherry Magnesium Sleep Fizz with a dried lime slice or a few mint leaves.
What Does It Mean to Heal the Feminine Spirit?
Healing the Feminine Spirit means to rekindle the joys of being a girl who is simply comfortable slowing.
She does not feel any guilt in not being ambitious or productive. She lives for the pure joy of experiencing life and just enjoying the world around her.
She takes the time to be more intentional with how she spends her time and what she consumes–mentally and physically.
Feminine Healing is a Slow Self-Love.
Simple and Effective Stress Relief Techniques for the Feminine Spirit
Stress relief is often seen as something to tackle through action and problem-solving, but for women, especially those in high-stress roles like myself in the Army, the antidote can be found in slowing down.
Intentionally choosing slowness, even in a fast-paced environment, is a powerful way to honor your well-being and reclaim your feminine energy.
Feminine energy thrives in flow and intuition, but when we constantly push ourselves to be over-productive, we risk burnout and disconnection from our true selves. Slowing down doesn’t mean you’re falling behind—it’s a radical act of self-preservation and healing.
For women who wear multiple hats—professionals, caretakers, soldiers—the temptation to hustle relentlessly can feel impossible to resist. But pausing to embrace intentional slowness can transform how we approach challenges. This might look like starting your day with a mindful moment instead of rushing through tasks, or setting boundaries to protect quiet time.
In the Army, where efficiency is prioritized, I’ve learned that balance isn’t found in doing more but in giving yourself permission to do less effectively.
By leaning into slowness, you create space for feminine energy to flourish, allowing rest, creativity, and self-compassion to guide your journey back to wellness.
1. Mindful Morning Ritual: Start your day with five minutes of deep breathing or gentle stretching before checking your phone or jumping into tasks. This small pause helps center your mind and set a calm tone for the day. Do something for yourself by centering yourself!
2. Single-Tasking: Resist the urge to multitask. Focus on completing one task at a time, whether it’s eating a meal without distractions or dedicating full attention to a conversation. This practice cultivates presence and reduces mental overwhelm. It also allows you to fully remember the moment and not live in a blurry chaos.
3. Intentional Rest Periods: Schedule short, technology-free breaks during the day to sit quietly, take a slow walk, or journal. These moments help recharge your energy and prevent burnout by inviting stillness into your routine. I like to do this especially on Saturday mornings, I just get my coffee and head into the reading room where there is plenty of light and cozy blankets!
One Moment at a Time
Slowing down might not earn you a medal or more work for your hard work lol, but it just might save your sanity—and who doesn’t want that?
Embracing intentional slowness isn’t about lounging on the couch in your PJs (though, let’s be honest, that’s definitely a necessary vibe too).
It’s about giving yourself permission to take life one mindful moment at a time. Whether you’re stretching like a yogi, single-tasking like a boss, or sneaking in a rest break to stare dramatically into the middle distance, you’re doing the hard work of not doing too much. Even in the Army they emphasize the importance of relaxation and recuperation that they provide Comp days for us after every training and mission. They know we need to unwind or we will very quickly burn out like a fuse.
So, slow your roll, ladies. Your feminine energy will thank you, you wont be resentful or snappy and your to-do list will still be there tomorrow!
