What does the “Villain Era” term truly mean?
The “Villain Era” for women is all about prioritizing yourself and establishing rules of engagement.
It gives a sense of empowerment. The woman in her villain era emanates an unapologetic dark feminine energy. This dark feminine energy enables her to be resolute in her convictions and self confidence. Her attitude demands respect; there is no pleading for it. Her behavior is self-nourishing without the stigma of being selfish. She does not placate others just for their convenience.
She firmly protects herself in a defiant way, even if others consider her a “villain” for it.
What is the Daily Routine of a Woman in Her Villain Era?
Morning Start: Curate the Day as You See Fit.
Create a routine that gives YOU joy. It starts the the night before–curating a day that enhances your quality of life.
The night before prep:
- Make a list of all of the important things you want to accomplish the next day.
- Ensure you do something that FILLS your cup (workout, creative work, reading).
Morning of:
- Minimize distractions from the outside world. People can wait, as you take care of yourself first.
- Create/perpetuate a home aesthetic that aligns with how YOU want to feel.
- Make sure to present yourself in the best way even if you are at home.
- The way you look, is the way you feel, is the way you interact, is the way you progress.
Walking in the morning even for 30 mins is a great fitness routine to reconnect with your community, nature and just get off that phone! And just be more dialed in with your life.
Grab your water/coffee and headphones and get out there!

The above routine is just a sample of what your day could look like if you could design it for your benefit.
The important thing to note here is designing a day with some structure to enhance your life mentally, physically and emotionally in order to become “her”. If you don’t have structure, you will be swayed by just about anything and anyone. That’s not the way of a woman who is entering her villain era.
If you just want the building blocks to create your own system/daily routine, read below!
A sample “Villain” system looks like this:
1. Intentionally schedule all habits & appointments with yourself. If you’re serious about it, schedule it! Often we do not lack discipline, we just lack clarity (Atomic Habits).
2. Cook your meals if not already meal-prepped. Create meals that fuel you and make you feel good about yourself. NO impulsive eating for the woman in her villain era.
- She eats what is good and serves a benefits her body. She does not sabotage herself for momentary satisfaction.
- Find an online nutritionist that aligns with your style of eating and dietary needs. I love Rachel Aust! Find her nutritional blog Eat Run Here here.
2b. Listen to an audio book/travel/finance podcast. Be inspired while you do something passive like prepping vegetables for a meal.
- Our experiences cultivate our behavior and attitude about ourselves. Fueling your villain era is not easy if you don’t open yourself up to new experiences that make you feel versatile and interesting.
- Go onto GroupOn and LivingSocial to see if there’s something new you could try.
- Go outside for a 30 minute walk and put on a walking/fitness podcast to understand the benefits of your activity.
3. Clean up immediately so as to keep a clean home and restful mind.
- An organized and clean home makes us feel like we have it all together and in turn fuels our confidence and self perception.
A clean home that also reflects who we are allows us to be less chaotic and focused on activities that bring us joy.
4. Utilize whatever time in the evening (or morning) for creative soul nourishing work.
- Pour into yourself first. Think about who do you want to be? Have you made time for it? Or just excuses.
- Make time to explore your hobbies, interests and passionate projects! It makes you more interesting and builds your confidence as a person of interest & value.
- Read a book that reconnects you to your source energy and allows you to understand how you want to craft tomorrow. Is your life holistically on the right path? A good book will open your mind to different approaches or perspectives.
5. Make time for those who make you feel valued.
Ask yourself what kind of feeling do I get when I see they have called/texted?
Do you have any anxiety or obsessive thoughts of them? If so, you want to review your relationship with them and make the necessary changes. Limit your interactions with them.
You are not in the business of people pleasing. Think of all the things you COULD be doing if you were not fretting over this person who may not even be thinking about you.
That is emotional and mental energy you could be using to make YOURSELF happy and healthy.
6. Review daily expenses and see where you can adjust, mitigate and better prepare for the next day.
If you want to obtain bigger goals, you’re going to have to get your finances in order and forego the “treat myself” expenses on the daily. Find other ways to deal with stress that don’t involve a price tag.
Some recommendations would be: writing (maybe start a blog about things you’ve experienced that could give insight to others), reading a new book from the library (yes the library!), and at home self care treatments with a good feel-good movie.
7. Watch some videos or read articles that can optimize your micro goals for the next day.
For instance watching videos on workout splits that work for YOUR schedule.
Maybe having a dedicated back and chest day is not what you want in a 5 day workout program.
Perhaps you would like full body with some push/pull days peppered in. There’s a ton of “busy girl” workout routines on Youtube you can look into. You really need 2-3 days a week of consistency. Build from there.
The goal is to NOT to copy/paste other people’s routines. Think about what you want to attain and what will make you happy. And then go about tailoring a life that accommodates that in respect to current life obligations.
Be kind but be intentional with yourself. Change does not happen overnight.
But it does happen with daily adjustments that compound into the version of yourself you only dreamed about.
It just takes some self-reflection, self-investment and some patience for the future you to blossom.
It’s your time, your investment, your life. How do you want to spend it?
